Like I would spend my money on seeing it. I "aquired it via other means" and watched it, which was a waste of time. The movie is exactly like most people expected it to be, not funny. There are very few good jokes. There is a plot, but it's very poor. It's not the worst movie (Master Ninja I and II,) but it's pretty bad. Of course, I wasn't expecting the movie to be good, so it's not a dissapointment, and I still love Garfield the comic strip very much.

did they take it straight out of the cartoon's and made it or, was it like the beginning of the whole story?

The movie made up their own story that hardly keeps the story of comic strip or T.V. strip. The only thing it keeps are the basic characters and their basic personalities.
