Electronic Funds Transfer... something.

It's when you use your bankcard to debit money from your bank account. Sort of a cross between cash and credit. You don't have the money with you, but you basically pay with money.

It's the same card that you use to use an ATM... dunno what a debit card is, though.

I believe I can explain this: EFTPos is a method by which your bank card acts as a credit card, so when you use it to pay, like you would a credit card, it automatically deducts money from your bank account. It's as easy to use as a credit card, but there's no credit, just the money you actually have, so it's useful for managing money instead of spending money you don't have.

Yes! Except unlike a credit card, you have to verify who you are (with your PIN).

I've got to get a credit card sometime...

Paypal doesn't offer that kind of payment device, probably because, in order to put money into Paypal, you need a credit card anyways.

ATM = need bank account.
.... I think.... I know that with most bank accounts you get an ATM card... and on Paypal I believe you can use it with a bank account... and on some checking accounts you can get an ATM card with like a mastercard or visa logo (or something like that) that will allow you to use it as such or something like that.... Or was it more like being able to use it at places that accept Visa/mastercard but not atm? I don't know... It's too early in the morning for me to think clearly! *it's about 8:35 for him right now*

No.... I remember now, I have/had (Not sure if it's still active) a paypal account and you need a bank account to have more freedom with money transfers/payments (ETC...) and with a credit card you have limited fund transfers/payments. In other words you can only spend so much with a credit card through paypal.... *Hopes he's making at least a reasonable fascimile of sense throughout all this*

Cash is the easiest, with no rates or anything, but it's also the hardest to carry around. There needs to be a card, that is just cash, with none of that interest rate stuff. Just like a card, that has an amount of money on it, that you can change. There is something like that, right?
