The best anime series i saw so far are
Trigun and Cowboy Bebop
Evangelion is good, but it really messes with your mind alot...

The best anime movie i saw so far is Princess Mononoke

the messing w/ your mind is whats great about Evangelion......but anyway.....i liked Chobits and Mahoromatic(ecchi? nah.......its not ecchi..................ok, you win, its horribly ecchi)...they were hilarious
.hack//SIGN was also very well done, but i don't like the .hack//liminality so well.....

of series that are currently being fansubbed, i like Haibane Renmei the most....

now for anime i havent gotten around to watching yet, but think it will be good when i do:
Serial Experiments Lain
Boogiepop Phantom
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Naruto
Tokyo Underground

these are all series or OVAs.....i find that i like them better than most anime movies.....

ehehe.....dragon half....it is hilarious....so is excel saga.....Shameless plug: #[email protected] makes the best subs of kiddy grade, get your copies today......unless of course you're on dialup......in which case it could take a while to get your copies....

My kawaii beyonder likes ecchi anime huh? >_< [avoids beyonder and his forums.....] Anywho... i have a few favorites not too many have made it to my top 10 or so.... whatever.

NUMBER ONE OF ALL: Rurouni Kenshin- kaoru kamiya
NUMBER TWO OF ALL: Fruits Basket- Touru is so cute. Hattori is damn hot.

Others:
Inuyasha is getting there. I'm waiting for the series to finish.
Noir really rocked my world especially with Kirika deadly move in the first episode.
Spiral no Kizuna- very cool. Ayumu is soo hot and smart. Hiyono was annoying now cool. What are the Blade Children?

Movies:
Ah My Goddess the Movie: Trouble in Paradise- Urd rocked in this movie. She looked hot.
Sen to Chihiro kamikakushi aka Spirited Away- this movie blew me away. Amazing... just amazing

.hack//sign bored the hell out of me. Boring anime suck. Need more action and gore... and no X TV 1999 was boring has hell to. They need to die rather than talk.

i'm sorry. let me clarify: i didn't like the first few episodes of Chobits, but it does get better.....MahoromaticS1 is better than S2 because it was at least funny ecchi......S2 is just.......................yeah.......I have now watched Read or Die and Serial Experiments Lain, both were good, but weird.

Ah, I saw an episode of Dragon Half once. And dancing Mink was my replacement for the dumb Windows logo spinny thing in IE. Then I deleted it by acciendt. ._.

omg, i can confidently say that i have never heard of almost any of those, though i love DBZ and i used to like Sailor Moon, and i am going to watch Princess Mononoke.

Ugh, don't waste your time with Princess Mononoke. I hated it. Plus the fact that the idiot translators thought Princess Mononoke's name was "San." (It isn't - it's Princess Mononoke. But *I tried to curse and failed horribly!*, the main guy character, doesn't know her name, so he calls her "san", which translates to "Miss" or "Mister" depending on what gender you're talking to.)

Heh. I have too many to name but two of the more recent ones that I've watched that I've really liked are:
I, My, Me, Strawberry Eggs
and
Onegai Sensei

Both are really good! IMMSE is about a crossdressing teacher (had to do it to get the job) and Onegai Sensei is about an alien who becomes a teacher on earth falling in love with a student in her class ^_^ (very brief, very edited and basically not much given away about either series ideas of what they're about ^^;; There's more to each story than just what it says but I don't think here's the place to discuss it nor do I want to get too into it and spoil the story ^^;;)

Whee out of boredom I decided to get around to getting back into the forum. So here's some of the best anime series I've seen.

Macross 7: I love Macross, but 7's the best of what I've seen. BOMBER!

Star Ocean EX: Fun anime, not very well known.

Final Fantasy Unlimited: Enjoyable usually... decent dub unless you've seen the original.

Slayers: Old, but a hoot.

Full Metal Panic/Full Metal Panic Fumoffu: Hilarious AND action-packed!

Angellic Layer: One word- Kawaii.

Dragon Half: Really funny.

.hack//SIGN: Anime for the MMORPG lover.

I might have a few more to recommend later on.

Chrno Crusade. You HAVE to give this anime a try. Its a new one that's just now comming out. Its demon exorcising and follows a young nun and her hired hand's quests. Really awesome. Really. Try it.
