Blame the players, eh?
As a DM, I know that un-imaginative players cause lots of problems, but just as equally, over-imaginative players cause problems. Plus, a DM who can't respond to his or her players perhaps shouldn't be the DM. This wasn't to discourage you, just a little advice. The best thing to do would be to give your players a starting point, and let them go from there. You'll quickly find out who your over-imaginative and under-imaginative players are, along with how well you respond to your players.

Okay, this is how it works, you just say what you wan't to do and you'll do it, however, nothing to out of bounds. The main thinds to remember are...
1. Look around: do this in an area to see what there is.
2. Examine: Use this to look at something more closely.
3. Examine with ... : If you have certain implements, E.G. Magnifiing Glass, you use this to use it.
Okay, you ready? Let's begin.
You and your mates awake to find yourselfs in a small forest clearing. (You being yourself, and your mates being everyone else who signed on to this thing.) You have no recollection of your previous lives, except for yours and each others name. There is a large crowbar lying on the ground, and there are two forest trails leading away. What do you do, what DO you do?
A Crowbar much like one of these...

I correct the spelling of 'crowbar'.

I will look for available exits, whilst intensely unopposing Pez-Man.

Chromus looks around and sees many people, too many to remember. Just have a look at who said thet were in. He also notices that everyone has large, green, blotchey patches on their thighs. Pezman wanders over to the crowbar and picks it up, making him the team leader. While he has the crowbar, he has some say over what people do, and is also, while your team travells in a group, responseable for any danger you find yourselfs in. DT see's the two trails previusly mentioned.
