I like Croc Hunter... But, cel shading isn't that bad. I'd prefer standard graphics over it, but sometimes it looks really good.

Cel shading, if done right, can look wicked savage. XD I like the cel shading in, let's say, Jet Grind Radio. I would love to see a cel shaded Sonic game... that would be friggin' sw33t... I don't care for some cel shading styles though, so I guess I'm pretty fickle. I put only that it's all right because I love some of it and seriously dislike other methods concerning it. Maybe it's just art clashings in said disliked games. Oh well.

It WOULD be friggin' sw33t! Can't you imagine a sleek imaged cel shaded Sonic Adventure style game? Duuuude... Besides, that series is known for loading up with vibrant colors, and that's one thing cel shading it great at. Color definition. Oh well, I doubt it'll happen... unless Sonic Shuffle has it? Someone said something about it... **still would want to see an Adventure style in it, though** Is Sonic Shuffle cel shaded, at least at points? Maaan I wants me that game, even if it did get relatively mediocer reviews...

I have Sonic Shuffle...a lil bit o' cell shading, but nothing to write home about. *shrugs*

A word of caution - that game is so horribly animated during the FMV parts it's not even funny. >_< And dude, it makes you want to kill yourself when you keep on losing to damn Amy Rose on the Easy setting.

I'm sorry about the Croc Hunter reference. I don't mind him. I was going to use Harry Cooper, but me' brother said you wouldn't know who he was. He told me to do Croc Hunter because DT hates him. That's why i put the "this is a bad thing" thing. I knew that some people would like him.

Basically it means making a game look like a cartoon.
Most achieve this by using cartoony colours and giving everything _really_ thick outlines (look at: Jet Set whatever, Autodelli Modelista).

Some people say that it's too make it easier to program, but I've heard at places that it's harder to program cel-shading, so...

* DT listens to The Way. This is totally unrelated. Pay no attention.

Cel shading is shading a surface in blocks, unlike a realistic gradient, hence it's name. For example:

This is an example of normal shading

This is an example of cel shading

Notice how the normal shading is nice and smooth, where the cell shading is blocky? That's what defines cel shading.

Aw, shucks...

Anyways, thanks for the compliment, but I don't know everything. Just a little bit of a lot of topics.
