'Humourous' poll choices

Polls are for seriousness only. Leave the humour to Pumbo.

Yeah, all poll should have at least one 'funny' response.

I think that polls should be entirely humourous. If I want a serious poll, I'll wait for an election.

I don't mind if polls have 'funny' or 'serious' replies, as long as they're polls.

Humour in polls.

Post by Twilkitri »

OK, beyonder seems to think that putting 'funny' responses into my polls makes them 'bad' and/or 'stupid'. So what do you people think?

Evidence
{
<beyonder> you still make bad polls.
<DarkTwilkitri> >.>
<DarkTwilkitri> <.<
<DarkTwilkitri> No.
<DarkTwilkitri> No, no I don't.
<beyonder> the forum begs to differ
<DarkTwilkitri> No, _you_ beg to differ
<beyonder> and i own the forum.
<beyonder> therefore the forum begs to differ
<beyonder> right forum?

<DarkTwilkitri> I present Exhibit A
<DarkTwilkitri> http://content.thegreatbeyond.net:8080/ ... .php?t=202
<beyonder> definantly better than any poll u make...ur polls only have one answer that doesnt make u look silly.
<DarkTwilkitri> Hmm?
<beyonder> basically the answer to the u2 poll is "yes" and the answer to the beyonder poll, is now "no"
* DarkTwilkitri counters beyonder's words with http://content.thegreatbeyond.net:8080/ ... .php?t=151

{
<beyonder> i want u to stop making silly polls
<beyonder> and i need to get a new copy of mirc b/c this one is *I tried to curse and failed horribly!*.
<DarkTwilkitri> I don't generally make 'silly' polls.

I think some polls are okay, some are just dumb, and Beyonder is always wrong.

That's as may be, but this forum is tiny. It's not as if there are thousands of members and millions of posts and making polls is seriously going to decrement performance

I may have made a _few_ 'bad' polls, but most of them aren't.

I also bring to the stand evidence of others making polls in the same vein as me:
{
The following Gameworld poll is now closed. Here are the
final results:

POLL QUESTION: FFVII end of Disk one: Should she Live
or Die

CHOICES AND RESULTS
- Live, 5 votes, 55.56%
- Die, 0 votes, 0.00%
- This poll should Die, 4 votes, 44.44%

INDIVIDUAL VOTES
- Live

- [email protected]
- [email protected]
- Die
- This poll should Die
- [email protected]
- [email protected]

}
(From the GameWorld mailing list)

Anyways, let's drop the subject of whether my polls are bad or not. I'm happy because I got my rank&fire back, beyonder's happy because... um... he just is, and everyone else will be happy if we stop arguing.
