A few problems with the forum on my side

Post by Molvaki »

I swear! This is the very first topic I made!
Anyways, I'm having a bit of trouble with the forum lately, which explains why I haven't replied much. It no longer changes the colors of subjects if new posts are in there anymore, it's always staying white and I have to check through every subject just to see if there was any changes, could someone help me? ...please?

theres a topic on this...theres also one at the phpbb support forum....this has resulted from the update to phpbb version 2.0.1....ive been working on a answer, and it seems to be working correctly for me ever since i deleted some temp files made during the patch off the server. if its still doing it to you, let me know.

another thing i noticed was, directly after the update their were files *filename*.php.rej from when the patch did not go through, and for some reason phpbb was trying to incorporate these into the code, and i believe thats what was happening with the .orig files as well, but the .rej files were not complete files and therefore displayed errors...the files that didnt go through during the update needed to be replaced with the 2.0.1 files, which meant i also had to re-do all the mods involving those files.....

update: the problem has been found! the fix, however, will take me a while since i will have to build the board from the base phpbb2.0.1 code and apply all the mods again. have a nice day.

I'd like to agree with everyone, but it was already showing me which threads had new posts anyway. Fortunantely it still does.
