What's better? ^_^;; IE goes faster on my machine, but I dunno why.. Flash doesn't work in Firefox either.. Maybe it hates my computer..

But it's prettier.. I use both ^_^;;

I've switched exclusively from IE to Firefox recently, and I've found that Flash work in Firefox only if you install Flash after you install Firefox. If you already have Flash installed, you can just go to a Flash-enabled website and download Flash for Firefox.

Yeah, it's been my experience that Firefox doesn't run as fast and also takes up more memory, but I still use it since I'm fed up with IE problems.

Sure IE sucks, but it's so default, and most of the errors are just petty, minor errors, it shouldn't cause too much trouble.

I usualy get errors as soon as I open it...
why does windows explorer get script errrors?!?! It isn't even supposed to connect to the internet, just look at my computer files... >_>
edit: Oh, and Firefox can show you Favicons, without even having to add a site to your favorites list! yay!
and they don't go away after first reboot like IE, vwoot

IE runs faster because it's integrated into the kernel.

Tab-Browsing sucks.

Konqueror has errors far more often than IE. Not that anyone was talking about Konqueror. Stupid SigSegving program.

Windows Explorer runs on the same engine as IE, I believe. Script errors on your hard drives :? Maybe you should run a virus & adware scanner.

Favicons are worthless.

Tabbed browsing and favicons have their uses. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they are useless. I prefer non-tabbed browsing, though, since I like to be able to see the title of each of my webpages in my taskbar. I know lots of people who like tabbbed browsing, though, since it saves on screen space. I use tabbed browsing when I'm editing source code.

Yeah, script errors on your local computer sounds like a malware/virus problem. You might want to get that checked out.

norton does this funny script blocking and screws its own menu up because it blocks the script of its own running script. and there was this funny pic that screen savers showed the microsoft logo with soo many wholes and bandages which is so true.

Give me one use for a favicon, if you would.

I know that some people like tab-browsing, but until they make a rotate shortcut for the tabs, I'm not letting go of good old Mr. AltTab. Far too inefficient otherwise.

Psychologists have shown that humans remember images more easily than text, therefore, it's easier to remember what bookmark you're looking for if it has an image associated with it as well as a title.

In most tabbed programs, CTRL+TAB will go to the next tab. This shortcut works in Firefox, as well as the program I use to do source code editing.

I only use bookmarks to keep track of sites I don't have time to look through fully... Using bookmarks for sites you visit regularly is something I have a bad opinion of, so I'm not going to go any further into that topic.

I'll have to try that. I've only ever heard of there being shortcuts to individual tabs before. I don't think it'll cause me to swap browsers, though... but it will be helpful in VS et al if it works.

I dunno, I just use firefox to open all of my book marks at once
I could get it to notify me, but I can't set notifications for multiple bookmarks at a time so it would take a while O_o

so, do we have a good list of pros and cons for the two?
