Okay, the comment thingy says, "Ask Pezman ANY questions you have!"
So...
If I threw a candy cane up in the air, would you try to catch it, would you wait until it hit the ground and pick it up, or would you slap me?
Personally, I would slap me, letting a perfectly good candy cane go to waste...

If the room temp isn't cold enough to preserve them, they do melt, and if they re-solidify then yeah they get stale.
