A turn-based FPS.
Mmm... turn-based-ness with the fluctuating quality of FPSs...

Nah, a turn based FPS wouldn't make much sense at all. You'd move a certain amount of steps, and could only fire a certain amount? FPS and turn based don't go together very well, like a 2-D scroller and a RTS.

It would work the best with team-based.
Team a would have 5 seconds or so to do whatever, then their controls (and physics) would cut out and it would be team b's turn. Etcetera etcetera.
Wouldn't be any fun in two-player, but I can see it working nicely with large teams.

I don't know... There's too much in it that wouldn't work... such as the ability to dodge/move away from where the enemy is firing.... You'd have to add in some RPG elements to really make it work... But overall I'm not a big fan of FPS... Ah well... :P

Well, people'd have to have their health bumped up a fair bit...
I don't understand most of what you just said, Kamui.

The idea of a FPS that is turn based just doesn't make any sense.

It ruins the whole FPS-ness....

Well, it's still first person -
and still a shooter -
so it's still an FPS.
I think it could be fun. Wierd, but fun.

It's still an FPS, but it just doesn't make any sense.
