The idea has been going around for decades that this site was named after beyonder's favourite song. However, a new theory was arrived at recently which blows this out of the water.
Speculation has it that the site was originally supposed to be www.thegreatbeyonder.net , but this address was unavailable and he had to take the closest thing possible.
There is also the little held view that he got it because it was on sale, yet this is discounted by 96% of the population.
