In French class, and this is after doing 5 and a bit years of french mind you, one of my classmates came up with this profound fact:

Here's a quote from one of my friends, who can change his opinions of things pretty fast, apparently...
"That's the stupidest thing I ever heard. That's a pretty good idea, actually"
(for those who are interested, I was talking to him about my idea that when programing on a graphics calc, rather than having the one huge prog, to split it into smaller ones and 'call' them as you would functions/methods in a compproglang) _________________ ~Twilkitri~

A person once asked:
"Where's Rebecca?"
You've guessed it, unless you haven't. Rebecca was standing right beside her. _________________ ~Twilkitri~

Whatever you're looking for, it's always in the last place you look.
I once lost my glasses, which of course, I was wearing. |

:O I didn't know that you wore glasses, Pez-Man. Is it myopia or the other one?
I'm short-sighted (myopic)... damn it sucks...
I just think it's funny how some people think that if you're short-sighted, your vision just cuts out at a distance away from you :/
Anyways, here's one which you won't understand, but should be funny nonetheless...
Richard (student) to Sam (also a student): Sam, I'm surprised you would even think that. Your halo just shrunk down to the size of a footy oval.
...you'd have to know them. _________________ ~Twilkitri~

I used to wear glasses. Then I got contacts. They're the hard lenses though, which are more annoying than soft. Oh well. At least I don't run the risk of having soft lenses rip. _________________ "Which class did you ass?" -- Chromus

Short-sightedness seems to run in the family, as I have glasses too. I'm considering getting laser surgery to fix it, but not until I'm 21, to prevent my eyes from reshaping after the surgery. |

*shudder* I don't know how people can wear contacts. My uncle wears them...
Anyway, I've almost exhausted my quotes, so I'll skip ahead to 2002 for this post and post my entire amount of quotes from that year. I think you will have realised that there's not as many.
First, we have a der-ism from my Statics lecturer:
'That foam beam there is an example of what we call a beam'
And now we have creative mathematics, from a practice exam.
In a 3-part question, the marks for the sections were 1, 3 and 7. The total marks for the question were 10, apparently.
Here's a contradict-ism, from my Maths lecturer, iirc:
'You couldn't have solved that by any other method... well, there are a couple of methods.'
And finally, a fact about Power Packs from my Electronics lecturer:
'They're designed to be abused by the general public' _________________ ~Twilkitri~

Yep, my eyes have that weird shape thing going on, too. My vision is so bad, that when I did wear glasses, the lenses were pretty close to coke bottle. o_O;; My contacts prescription is strong, too. And my left eye is so vastly different sight and shape-wise that I'm supposed to be going to the laser surgeon and getting a topographical map done of my eye, so that I can have a custom-fit contact lens made.
In lieu of this thread's actual continuity, here's my quote input, something that I say as often as "Yus" and "Buh": mad-crazy. As in, "That DDR song is mad-crazy! Look at all those arrows in a row!!" _________________ "Which class did you ass?" -- Chromus

Back to good auld Twenty-Oh-One for the final stretch.
This is from my chemistry teacher, and I'm giving them to you one at a time, because they're the last ones.
First, we have a contradict-ism.

Still the chem teacher. But you knew that, didn't you? He's all I've got left.
And now we have words which every student everywhere would love to here there teacher utter:

In my school, the seniors all go on a senior class trip. I'm not going, because I don't want to take a crummy cruise, and also it was nearly $1,000 to go. So my Journalism teacher (who was my English teacher last year) says to me, "Don't come to school during those three days." The teacher said it to me. That's great. _________________ "Which class did you ass?" -- Chromus

Well, technically, that's not a contradict-ism. Even if it is the hardest part of something, that does not make it hard. It could still be easy, depending on how easy the other parts were. |
