(for those who are interested, I was talking to him about my idea that when programing on a graphics calc, rather than having the one huge prog, to split it into smaller ones and 'call' them as you would functions/methods in a compproglang)

I just think it's funny how some people think that if you're short-sighted, your vision just cuts out at a distance away from you :/

I used to wear glasses. Then I got contacts. They're the hard lenses though, which are more annoying than soft. Oh well. At least I don't run the risk of having soft lenses rip.

Short-sightedness seems to run in the family, as I have glasses too. I'm considering getting laser surgery to fix it, but not until I'm 21, to prevent my eyes from reshaping after the surgery.

Anyway, I've almost exhausted my quotes, so I'll skip ahead to 2002 for this post and post my entire amount of quotes from that year. I think you will have realised that there's not as many.

First, we have a der-ism from my Statics lecturer:

'That foam beam there is an example of what we call a beam'

And now we have creative mathematics, from a practice exam.

In a 3-part question, the marks for the sections were 1, 3 and 7. The total marks for the question were 10, apparently.

Here's a contradict-ism, from my Maths lecturer, iirc:

'You couldn't have solved that by any other method... well, there are a couple of methods.'

And finally, a fact about Power Packs from my Electronics lecturer:

'They're designed to be abused by the general public'

Back to good auld Twenty-Oh-One for the final stretch.
This is from my chemistry teacher, and I'm giving them to you one at a time, because they're the last ones.

First, we have a contradict-ism.
"Now we come to the hardest part; it is not that hard"

And now we have words which every student everywhere would love to here there teacher utter:

"There's no point in listening to what I'm saying"

In my school, the seniors all go on a senior class trip. I'm not going, because I don't want to take a crummy cruise, and also it was nearly $1,000 to go. So my Journalism teacher (who was my English teacher last year) says to me, "Don't come to school during those three days." The teacher said it to me. That's great.
