humm...got my SAT scores back today. got a 1380. (700 verbal, 680 math)

Speaking of SATs...does this make any sense to any of you? I have a GPA of 3.9 or so, I'm in National Honors Society, I get mostly all As, and yet my SAT scores were 1030 (last year) and 1080 (this year). WTF?! o.o That's why I hate SATs...they're not a valid way to measure a person's intelligence.

I think thats cuz SATs measure how well you do in the categories on the test within a time limit, but has no way of measuring how much work you are willing to do, while your GPA is also affected by the amount of time you put into your school work, I'm a lazy bum, but I'm a smart lazy bum. And then there's ppl who just don't test well for whatever reason.....

Yeah, I think you're right, beyonder. I always felt like I didn't have enough time on the SATs. o.O

Maybe I do bad on the SATs because I finish within aobut 10 mins for each section. In fact, I'm usually the first to turn in all my tests, and I Get bad grades. ...Probably just a coincidence.

I thought you were lying, but now I know the truth, and it hurts. Let that be a lesson to the rest of you. Don't do any work in school and you'll be good.

Or do really hard work and actually end up with a sucsessful career, your choice.

Here's my advice - don't ever take any Advanced Placement/Honors courses in school even if you're smart. They just help to make your life a living hell.

grrr...Advanced Geometry...the hardest class ive ever taken

im getting A's in honors chemistry and spanish II

and C's in acedemic(level under honors) history and english

and im faling study hall...not really since its impossible since all i do in it is sleep

Currently, my grades are:

Spanish V Honors - A (Got a 95 this marking period I think)
Precalculous and Trigonometry - B+ (Got an 89; 1 stupid point away from an A, and consequently, straight As this marking period! >_<)
Gym - A- (Got a 92 in the first marking period, but this marking period we Seniors have Sex Education o.O)
Computer Graphics - A- (Got a 92 in that class, too)
Journalism I - A (95; funny, because I totally didn't turn in one whole assignment and still pulled an A. O.o; Wink

World Literature - A- (A 91 this time)
