New information has come to light!
His spaceship is called the Dolphin, which was the GCNs project name.
He is supposedly intelligent, yet he gets ripped off in shops all the time... the Extraordinary Bolt, anyone? (If the Extraordinary Bolt _does_ actually do something useful, don't tell me because I'm not that far yet).
When Pikmin drown, he lists them as 'Lost in Battle' on his status sheet.

Yeah, the ship was just a nice easter egg. The whole stupid parts were just jokes. And the drowning was just easier to category it. Stop being paranoid! There IS NO COVER-UP!
