this is about something very specific in win xp....why is it that when you hide the desktop icons it vey noticeably degrades the quality of the background image....it just doenst make a lot of sense to me.

I myself personally don't hide the icons, or use a background image, so I wouldn't know. I just like the blue.

I have no idea either... I use XP, I do have a background image but I before I figured out how to set it to not hiding the icons I didn't really notice anything... I'll check when I get home.... (At a library comp right now ^^;;)
