I don't quite understand what you mean by that question, so could you clarify?

are you asking for chromus to help with your physics homework?
I'm sure she means displacement with an acceleration/speed/velocity
yano something like, "guy was acceleratiing by 20km/h how far did he go in 5... er... um.. yeah... *dies*

She could mean displacement as in water displacement :/

Back to movement.

Well, there are the 5 SUVAT equations, 4 of which can work out displacement... but I can't remember what they are. And, they rely on constant acceleration...

The only one I remember off the top of my head is V = U+AT, and that's the only one which doesn't help :/

What are you talking about... I did my homework.. I just happened to waste 2934903750 sheets of paper cuz I had to draw graphs.. Phred is right, though, chromus.. Do I HAVE to use graphs...?

No, it's not necessary to use graphs to solve for distance traveled, but it's easier to use graphs when you don't have exact information about the acceleration, velocity, and time associated with an object. However, if you have the exact information, there are equations you can use to figure out the missing information. It would be a lot of work to type out the four equations here, so here's a page with all four of them: http://www.glenbrook.k12.il.us/gbssci/p ... U1L6a.html

you know when a file is cut off(like with a disconnect) from downloading? Since I know that these files can be continued and aren't found in the folder you're downloading to until complete, where are they stored?

Temp files? ^^

in c:/windows/temp? if so, i have 750mb in there... if i delete any/all of them, will it do any damage to my computer?

I empty my Temp files a lot. It saves room ^_^

When a file is cut off in the middle of a download, it's nigh impossible to continue the file without using a special utility made for this purpose. I reccomend GetRight, as I've used it for years and it's good for those who get disconnected often.

You're right that the download is stored in a temporary file until the whole thing is downloaded, but unless you know exactly what the file name of the temp file was, there's no hope of you manually recovering it without spending more effort than is worth.

The temp file directory is different on each operating system. If you tell me what OS you're using, I can tell you where to look so you can delete your temp files. Normally, it's alright to remove temp files, so long as they aren't currently in use.

So what exactly is that class you have mondays at 3:30?

Mondays and Wednesdays, at 3:30 PM, I attend CMSC 341, which is called Data Structures. In it, I learn many different ways of organizing information on a computer so that certain tasks can be done faster than with other structures.

If anyone is interested, here's a link to my schedule: http://userpages.umbc.edu/~dm6/03fall.html

Do SNES ROMS have integrated Midi files that allow them to be so small in file size? and if so, do PS1 ROMS have integrated MP3's?

Also, is there a way to quick link someone in MSN Messenger on a site like you can do for AIM?((if you don't know what i mean, look in some of our profiles))

When making an SNES game cartridge, developers write small sections of the code that interface with the SNES audio engine. The code typically has a hard-coded sequence of instructions for the engine, which is similar a computer's MIDI encoder in that it can play a variety of instruments at certain notes. Since the audio engine isn't as complete as a MIDI encoder when it comes to instruments and notes, the code is extremely small, which can be stored to a seperate file on a computer. With software, the SNES audio engine can be emulated, so you can hear the music from SNES games on your computer.

The same type of situation exists on the Playstation, except that the audio engine on the Playstation is far better than the SNES audio engine, but still not as good as a computer's MIDI encoder. This means that, with appropriate software, you can hear Playstation music on your computer.

In both situations, and in many other consoles, there is also a direct audio interface that a game can use. This interface, however, doesn't translate any commands, so the code needed to interface directly is very large, so it's not done often in the game. This direct code, however, produces a better variety of sound.

I'm not sure about a direct link that can be used for MSN, but if one exists, you can find out about it by looking online. I don't think one exists, or the forum would use it for the MSN link.
