Good Gods! More D&D fans! Before I first left I put up a thread 'bout Baldur's Gate, and no one knew what I was talking about! |

If it was there, I should have posted, as I just did. NwN was another good graphical DnD, but I prefered BG and ID. |

My parent or guardian has purchased Neverwinter Nights, but I don't actually have it yet. All though, it is now run off D&D v3 rules, so my bard doesn't need high charisma and intelligence. |

... Ri-i-ight DT.
Well, i'm probably gonna' make a lot of enemies today, but i'd say Neverwinter Nights was a sore disappointment. Sure, the editor was great and all. I mean, who can honestly say they've never wanted to put themselves in a campaign as a Blue Slaad, but the game was very rushed, and more orientated on it's precious new graphics than an actual storyline as such. It's main selling point was that it was run off version 3 rules, which I have nothing against, (Curse you THACO!), but Baldur's Gate was charming, it had a great storyline, and it was also pleasantly challenging.
Not to mention, Jan Jansen was greater comic relief than Boddynock Glinkle will ever be.
*puff*puff*
Well, i'll stop ranting now.

Actually, I've heard of people who use the Neverwinter Nights editor to keep track of actual D&D games, as opposed to playing them online. A group of friends would get together and load all the stats into Neverwinter Nights. All the play decisions they made would be stored in the game by the DM. They also had a cool setup where they mounted an projector over the table facing down projecting the editor onto the table, so everyone could see what was going on. Sounds like a kick ass setup. |

None of the cool characters were in NWN. I didn't like the game very much either. I would prefer another Baldur's Gate, or something, but I didn't feel that NWN had a very good story. |
