the game is still under development so the genre of the game is not confirmed but i put it here because of previous installments. I never finished FFVII One reason i borrowed the cd from a friend so he was gonna gimme cd 2 later on but the thing was the game froze whenever i reached the part were sephiroth killed everybody in the entire city and he would just stand there i watched it for an hour and relized omp its not moving.

I dunno... FF7 was an awsome game, but it kind of bothers me that they keep adding storyline to it. I mean, the whole point of the FF series was that each game had little to no relation. It's nice that they're adding on to the great storyline, but it kinda sucks that they're going against what they usually do. Also, I've never played FFX or FFX-2, but it seems like the same idea. I hope they don't make Advent Children anything like FFX-2, when compared to FFX. If you understand what I just said, congrats.

I never said anything about it being a failure. It was a pretty big hit. I just think it was a shame they had to turn what I heard was a good game into what I heard was Final Fantasy Dress-up.

Well, I don't see how they could turn a movie into a dress-up doll game. So, you're safe from Advent Children being anything like FFX-2... Dirge of Cerberus on the other hand, well we'll have to wait and see.

I've played a lot of the FF Games. Square is more into crowd pleasing than they were 6 years ago.

After people played FF8, they realized that they got BORED with an rpg... so they removed Squall for a more upbeat Zidane. FF9.

FF9 is a bit too childish and medieval for the modern age players. Introducing Blitzball and mixed society in FF10.

Graphics in FF10 attracted non-RPG fans, just cause it looked good. Going on that FF10-2 was made. It lacked any real story or motive at all.

On the rebound, S.E. tries to win back their older fans with a sequel movie to FF7. Square movies suck (Spirits within sucks if your an FF fan.) so we'll have to see on this.

At the same time they release FF11 which happens to be one of the biggest growing trends in gaming, an MMORPG. Basically, they gave up making a script and story, and let the people do it. Smart, but lazy.

And in the end conclusion FF7: DoC is more of the same. Personally I never thought much of Vincent. He's a guy who's at least 30+ years old, lived in a coffin, has 1 actual arm, socially dead, and little story. If they plan on FF7: DoC they better plan on havin one with Yuffie too.

Hopefully FF12 won't dissapoint me. But right now, I'm more set on KH2.

Does everyone in this place have to go on with several thoughts into one sentence?! And please, before you submit, see if it actually make sence, even if it's rearranging a few words or fixing gramattical errors. @_@

And, I for one, actually enjoyed FFVIII. I prefer aloof characters like Squall to sickenly cheerful characters.

Well, if you're going to complain about grammar or punctuation, you might as well go after spelling while you're at it. (By the way, it's spelled sense)
