I have it, i play it, it is fun, but horribly stupid. What storyline?

its just a overly simplified version of the storyline of 90% of games. didnt you ask yourself that when playinf diablo i? obviously blizzard puts much more time into storylines for their RTSs....wc3 storyline is excellent....

but playing diablo 2 for storyline would be utterly pointless. why would you do that? you gotta play so you get stronger and can declare hostility on ppl and bash them into the ground. or go and trade for better items, so you can become stronger and bash more ppl into the ground with your insane character. it's muich more competitive than storyline based.

i have nothing against d2. pez-man is the one who hates it. i was explaining to him the reason for playing it b/c he obviously did not understand.

No I'm not, I'm saying the game is awful, but I still like to play it. Contradicting would be saying I love the game, but I hate it.

It's amazing, but I actually concur with Pez-Man on this. You can have games which are totally annoying, or incredibly difficult, and still like playing them. The last levels on EvS, for example, are insanely difficult and I was hookedo n them.

You want something more related? OK, I absolutely HATE the 'Game Boy Gallery' games, the ones with the really old Game & Watch games like Octopus and Parachute on them, yet if I start playing one, I get hooked on it.
