My portrait is that of the Changeling in the Eberron Campaign Setting.
Admittedly, the Changeling is a female, but where the line between Changeling's gender blurs, i've attempted to turn this one into a boy by cutting out the shapely body. Has it worked?
Also, by saving it as a GIF, the colors have stuffed up. Is there anyway to get around this? |

jpg if you want filesize... png can only do so much for filesize, since it's lossless. _________________

Lossless is good and bad. It really depends on the pixel size and how lossless it needs to be (Photograph vs sprites). |

there are no levels of lossless. something is either lossless or it is not. png is lossless. jpg is only lossless at the highest quality level. and on this setting makes large files. png is very good at what it does, but unfortunatly, lossless compression is simply not viable for widespread distribution of some types of images.(images with large areas of a few colors compress very well losslessly) _________________

Well, there's a flaw in your plan. You see, for some obscure reason the profiler wouldn't accept it in any other format. |

How lossless it needs to be = lossless or not. It was a typo, I swear. |

plenty of people have png or jpg avatars. so, either they haxed it. all of them. some of which have the intelligence of door knobs, or your avatar in other formats is over the size limit. i think i'll just go raise the size limit.... _________________

Okay. I'll see if it works, but i'm using a different computer so it'll have to wait until later.
...
One day later
...
Well, It seems to have worked, this time. And I have a sneaking suspicion that your going to spring it on me that you didn't change a thing. Ah well. It honestly didn't work last time, no matter what's taken place. |

This avatar is Eddie, a character from a sprite comic i've been contemplating making. Essentially, Eddie's what happened when Wily accidently went back in time and took the opportunity to swap Megaman's and Eddie's (The small can-shaped eddie) blueprints. The whole storyline is much more witty and well-written than what I have given the impression of here. But I digress.
I liked the sprites, so I decided to use him. But I only have Microsoft Paint. So I need to know how to get rid of his white background. (I spent Five hours downloading Paint Shop Pro, only to have it not work anyway. So don't reccomend that.) |

PSP will do transparencies, but so will many other programs. I personally use Fireworks, though I used to use PSP for my sprites. |
