Yeah, HP&tCoS is one of the GCN games we got at KMart.
It's fun. But short. _________________ ~Twilkitri~

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Yeah, DT, you're right - it's way shorter than HP&SS; I think it's because you don't have to play Quidditch matches this time, you can play them of your own accord. _________________ "Which class did you ass?" -- Chromus

Maybe the GCN game is different from the PC one, then... because you have to play the three quidditch matchs in the GCN one (as far as I know). And the only HP game I've played before is the GBC HP&tPS, so I'm not really in any position to compare lengths. Although, I'd say the GBC HP&tPS is around the same length as the GCN HP&tCoS... the GBC game was an RPG, however, not an.. uh... action/adventure(?) like the GCN game. The cards were better in the GBC game. _________________ ~Twilkitri~

I have the GBA HP&tPS ROM, which I thought was kinda better than the PC game in some points. _________________ "Which class did you ass?" -- Chromus

When you say HP&tPS, is that short for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone? I know that's what the book is called elsewhere, but in the USA it's not the Philosopher's stone, it's the Sorcerer's Stone. |

Yeah, I know, but we stupid Americans changed the name. I prefer the original...kinda like my philosophy of "subbed-not-dubbed." _________________ "Which class did you ass?" -- Chromus

Although I don't really care one way or the other in terms of "Sorcerer's Stone" or "Philosopher's Stone," I'm not really sure why they changed it. Didn't it have something to do with 9/11? |

Since the first book came out before 11/9, I doubt it...
I read somewhere that it was because most Americans wouldn't know what a philosopher is, but I don't know if that's true or not. _________________ ~Twilkitri~

The object was originally called the Philosopher's Stone in the myth, anyway. The PS was a legend that JKRowling stole. (Not that I don't like her books, heh. I love that guy.) |

You can't really steal a legend. According to myth, a philosopher's stone is a sooty black rock that has magical properties, one of which is to grant long life. (Others are the ability to turn anything to gold, ect..) It's not even unique, so it would make sense for JK Rowling to use it in her books if she felt like it. |
