Pez-man how do you set-up your whole flash system do you connect you COMIC 1 buttons to scenes? and then each comic has its own scene in it. Because thats what i do and i just wanted to know if there is an easier way. _________________ Silly buttons trix are for kids..... |

Well, for comics 25-75 and 1-19, each comic is its own file. I do this because if I put each comic in a scene, the size of the overall file would be huge. Since you can publish scenes seperatly, you could just treat each .swf file as it's own comic. I have each comic as its own .fla file and .swf file. Of course, now that you mention it, it seems like a MUCH better idea just to have one .fla file and have each different comic in the scene. This wouldn't make a difference for the viewers, but it would save a lot of space for my computer. The best situation would be to use one .fla file but to publish each .swf comic seperatly from the main .swf and use the loadMovieNum() function to call each comic, so you don't have high loading times. |

So your gonna compress all your comics into one big .fla or .swf. hmmm I see. I am not sure what you meant but it sure was smart. I am basically talking about this. I have a menu, and all my comics are all in the same .swf. each piece of the comic contains its own scenes. But if i make like alot of comics. there will be abillion scenes
like this
SCENE 1 MAIN MENU
SCENE 2 EpISODE 1
SCENE 3 1st FREEZE FRAM
SCENE 4 2nd FREEZE FRAME
and it goes back to the main menu after you click a button to go to the main menu. thats what is there any way to simplify that _________________ Silly buttons trix are for kids..... |

I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, but you don't want all your comics in one .swf file, because the loading times. A simple setup of what I do is as follows:
Menu.fla/.swf > Episode1.fla/.swf
> Episode2.fla/.swf
> Etc. |

Edit the action script for the button itself by doing so:
on (release) {
loadMovieNum(url,level);
}
If you're not using multi-level movies, just put 0 for the level. |
